A Poet's Goodbye
What does a poet say before the end?
Do they seek the solace of a friend?
Do they hear a song of love within?
Or remember all that had once been?
Do they sing the sorrow of their heart?
Do they mumble, mutter, and fall apart?
Or is it for in silence then?
For the most surreal when
The Keep of Ever-Weep
Hallowed halls so crumble to be
Remnants of a brighter sea
Never again to see the light
Silent in the darkest night
What lives within so shudders and shakes
Good is lost within the stakes
Chaos comes to seal the fate
Where all who travel become awake
Spectral songs that draw you in
A siren's call you touch within
Darkness blooms within your soul
Darker than the blackest coal
Constricting chains that kiss the sky
Dancing where no song shall die
Where echoes bounce that won't reply
In melancholy to ever fly
Hew subdue and feel alive
Losing what is right inside
The echo that you want to hide
The timeless call all must

(The legend of Larathain)
The tempest of fate I tempt once more
Forever this litany to truth I swore
Death my trade and daily chore
Every stolen Light deserved far more
Within me, rage I've always felt
The coldest heart begins to melt
A conscience born of fire to smelt
The world of darkness I will welt
By sword and spell I hold within
The strength to change without and in
No challenge I fail, this I won't sin
My fury is told by where I've been
Eternity within my eyes
To Innocence I've said good bye
Every fight and I don't die
By every night into the sky
Starlight is my name and soul
Elven is my grace and toll

Caught within the Call of Chaos
Caught within The Call of Chaos
Chaos sang a song to me
within the wistful whistle of the wind
A haunting font of melody
to warn me of its sin
The spectral call upon a breeze
piercing through the dark
A racing heart began to seize
upon the still of art
The weave so softly sang to me
whispering the woes within
A hark to spark The Darkest Sea
suffering in their sin
A roar of rage upon the air
raving for release
Callous folding to the care
pleading to decease
I close my eyes to every sound
centered in my mind
In silence is my solace found
within the peace I find
In my altruistic fantasy
I see the truth to know
In reality of society

No Distinction Is Drawn
There is no black and white,
Only multitudinous shades of grey,
In which we all reside.
Knights alike, and dragons.
For 'tis not the body which defines,
Determines the right and wrong,
But the mind and the will,
And the cause and creed.
For no angel or devil,
No demon nor saint,
Nor monster of any kind,
May claim to hold the first stone.
We, our purpose, is not chiselled,
Not set in that same stone,
Carved by the blade
That only sees two sides of a coin.
So I speak.
To the dragon who sees the knight as a hero,
The knight who sees the dragon's might,
The princess who holds the sword,
The trinity most unlikey, say the legends.

Tucked into bed, warm and safe
You feel there is something out of place
You realize that it's because you're alone
You're left with the memories from eons ago
You're the only one who can keep your fears a bay
To wipe your tears, to dry your face
You long for the contact of another soul
But you know that's out of your control.
You'll lay in bed, thinking what life has become
Soon you'll wonder if it all went wrong
You'll consider the life you have already lived
And regret some of the things that you did
But then you'll think about what the future hold
If you will be brave or you will be bold
If you will find someone to share this life
And to
Robin.
I grew up with you, as many of my generation.
I watched as you fought pirates, never wanting to grow up.
I watched you as you struggled as a ten-year-old in a body of forty.
I watched as you became from a simple robot to a complete man.
Forever I will remember of you as a crazy blue Genie, with so many personifications.
Forever I will remember of you as a boy who was stuck 26 years in a game.
The inventor who created Flubber, or the doctor who wanted to bring joy to the sick.
You inhabited my childhood and my dreams, with so many movie characters.
But now you are gone, gone to never return. Hollywood just became poorer.
And with you,
Sis. Ever since I saw in the cradle I loved you.
But I also envied you as we grew up together.
You had your many friends, you always took the best grades.
And in my case I had no close friends and took only the low ones.
You always succeeded in things I didn't, and that's painful.
I struggled to reach your point but in the end I made myself a fool.
You always would go out with your friends and some dates.
While I remained at home with my books and my videogame.
I tried to reach you, but no matter what, you took flight.
You entered university and I was still in high school.
No one understood me, I already considered taking my own life.

Whispered Promise
Looking in the mirror what do I see
A cracked reflection staring back at me
Once alive and vibrant, full of life and hope
Empty eyes reflect with no joy at all
Wondering if it would matter if I were here
Would anyone notice if I just up and disappeared
Fading away silently into the shadows grey mist
Never to be seen or heard from again
The sad song of death does call to me
A somber melody that won't let me be
Beckoning me with its sweet serene sound
Its musical notes holding me spell bound
Closing my eyes, releasing all tears~
A chilling touch pulls me near
Wrapping me in a lover's embrace
